A rare and exciting opportunity has come up for the right candidate to join our chocolate team in North Melbourne.

Mörk Chocolate started 11 years ago making specialty drinking chocolate. Now with three stores and a bean to bar chocolate foundry, the family owned brand is built on enormous passion for cacao and true chocolate experiences. We are an internationally growing brand with our head quarters in Melbourne.

Mörk Chocolate Cacao Roastery & Chocolate Foundry is the dedicated space for research & development, as well as chocolate production for the brand. With a small and exceptionally dedicated chocolate maker team, we have a rare and exciting opportunity open up for a casual or part time chocolatier to join.

You will have a minimum of 1-2 years practical experience working as a chocolatier, and confidence working with chocolate equipment as well as standard methods of tempering and decorating. Strong team work and contributing on every level is important to you, as is working in a well organised environment. You have a natural ability and strength to work with pace and confidence.

Above all you will possess a burning desire to continue learning about chocolate, the bean to bar process, and a keen set of eyes for the detail and enormous care that goes into making the great things in life. What you don’t know about bean to bar, we can teach. But passion cannot be taught, it has to come from you.

There is potential for growth and development in this role.

Core objectives include:

  • Production of chocolate products, including pralines, bars, panned products, seasonal range
  • Operate small and large chocolate equipment
  • Assist as required with production of bean to bar chocolate
  • Detail cleaning of chocolate equipment and maintaining
  • Maintain factory cleaning checklists and ensure tasks are being completed daily, weekly and monthly as required
